The panel provided insight into the Stone case and others\, and evaluated the relative significance of these events. Panelists also addressed the role of various actors—including the Attorney General and the White House—in DOJ prosecutorial decisions\, and the challenges to DOJ independence from political forces. \nTuesday\, February 18\n11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.\nFurman Hall\, Lester Pollack Colloquium (9th floor)\n245 Sullivan Street\nNew York\, NY 10012 \nSpeakers:\n\nBob Bauer\, Distinguished Senior Fellow\, Reiss Center on Law and Security; former White House Counsel to President Obama\nLisa Monaco\, Distinguished Senior Fellow\, Reiss Center on Law and Security; former AAG for National Security and former Homeland Security Advisor to President Obama\nAndrew Weissmann\, Distinguished Senior Fellow\, Reiss Center on Law and Security; former General Counsel\, FBI and former Senior Special Counsel for Special Counsel Robert S.
